We started with the Handmade Paper Bag making project in the month of September 2017. The amount sanctioned for the project was Rs. 20,000/- We started by training approximately 10 girls. The girls included teachers from Akanksha School, ladies living in Butler Palace and a few other young girls.

The girls were provided material like paper, glue, string and tools for making the bag. The ready bags were sold through the various outlets of Akanksha. We even put up a stall at Diwali at CSI. Till date we have sold approximately 500 bags in various sizes.
