1) The Uttar Pradesh government launched a massive tree plantation drive on 5th July 2020. On this occasion, Akanksha Samiti and UP Forest and Wildlife Department jointly organized a plantation program at the Ghariyal Breeding Centre, Kukrail. The event was attended by our President Dr Archana Tiwari and other esteemed members who participated in the plantation of various types of trees with great zeal!

2) In response to the UP floods and COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Red Cross Society sent flood & COVID-19 Relief Materials to various districts in Uttar Pradesh. Akansha President Dr Archana Tiwari flagged off the Red Cross vehicles containing relief materials from Chief Secretary’s residence on 19/09/2020. This was organized by Dr. Himabindu Naik, the Gen. Secy. Indian Red Cross Society, UP Division. The event was attended by several Akansha members.

3) A donation of Rs 5 lakh was given to UP Covid Care Fund by Akanksha. The UP IAS wives association also contributed in this noble initiative through Akanksha.

4) 6 lakh rupees donated to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for the welfare of the families of 12 Pulwama Martyrs from UP on 31 March 2019
